The band is gearing up for our next gig at the Mountain View Art & Wine Festival on September 11 & 12, please come by and see us! The band will be donating half of our proceeds from cd sales towards charity (charity organization TBD). So, come out, purchase a cd or two and help those in need.

In other news, GrooveCamp will part of an exhibit that is about to open at the San Jose Tech Mueseum! We are very excited about it. The exhibit is about the internet and how it affects various aspects of our lives. GrooveCamp was chosen to talk about how the internet affects life for musicians. Check it out starting in late November (call the Tech for details).

Also, we have confirmed that our music is available at most of the digital download sites (the legal ones) including iTunes. We are glad to be able to provide another way for you all to download and share our music. Enjoy!

Check out this review of our new cd "Conundrum" from JamBase magazine. Enjoy...

"Percussion ensemble recordings rise and fall based on the spirit behind the hands and bodies making the music. Composition plays a part but the elephantine rush of POWER that the drum conjures is primal, immediate and resonates with things we cannot quite put a name to. Groovecamp has crafted a record akin to Mickey Hart's Planet Drum, with similar echoes of tablas and Brazilian beaches mixed in with the African thunder, but this is an infinitely more intimate affair. And the better for it. There’s still the pulse of real people in these grooves, the sharp intake of breath as a chant punches through the patterns of rhythm, the soft tickle of fingers on the skin of a drum. Without fanfare, it warms the blood and animates one's limbs. A careful ear will be entranced and then when one opens their eyes they find themselves dancing with the seasons and one another."

Hello all! The big news is that our new cd is DONE. It will be for sale in a few days at cdbaby. We would love it if you went there and bought one or two.
As you probably know by now, we've been working our tail off for the past year on this release. We've worked hard to produce a cd that we think is a great step forward. The cd was recorded at Undiginified Labs in Mountain View, CA. Undignified is a great studio that we highly recommend, great for up and comming artists!
Now that the cd is done, we are going to party! Our cd release party will be in late February or early March. Stay tuned for details.
Until then, take care of yourself and enjoy the new cd.

Hello all! Sorry for the conspicuous absense of new news here on our website. Life has been crazy busy, but in a good way.

Many of you know that we had a fantastic gig at the Mountain View Art & Wine Festival and just about sold out of the last run of "Got Soul." Thanks much for your support. We are playing on October 19th for a private function in San Jose (sorry folks!) and then we will hold our cd release party...that's right, cd release party! And what a party it will be!

But first we must finish the cd. I know ya'll have been waiting patiently for the new cd, but we are putting the finishing touches on it to make it extra groovy. Like a fine wine, it's worth the wait. We'll let you know when it's ready and when the cd release party will be. You're all invited!

    Until then, peace.

What have we been up to for the last several months???.....

.....we've been in the studio recording our second CD. We've been working hard to capture our sound as it has evolved since our first CD. Many hours have gone into writing, arranging, and recording the new cd. We should be done tracking in about a month then we are on to mixing. The cd should be available this summer!

What else is new???? We would like to welcome Betsy Adams to the group. Aside from her drumming talents she is quite the guitarist. We managed to convince her to take time off from touring with Van Halen where she played all the guitar solos from backstage for Eddie. No more Eddie licks Betsy - let's play some drums.

Check out our updated calendar for this season....see you soon!

Our main focus right now is preparing to record the follow-up CD to our debut release Got Soul. Though we have no gigs scheduled right now we have a few in the works and will keep you up date with those. Please contact us and let us know where you'd like us to play and we'll try and make it happen.
